The Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority (CPRA) is accepting proposals for the FY 2020 Conservation and Restoration Partnership Fund until October 18. This year the Partnership Fund has dedicated $1,000,000 in matching funds for projects addressing coastal conservation and restoration needs. This funding will allow the state, through CPRA, to explore private/public partnership opportunities, such as grants and donations to support the implementation of high-priority projects and the advancement of coastal restoration goals.
Proposals should include a brief description of the project purpose, features, conceptual design, a map of the project area, and a summarization of how it meets the selection criteria. The criteria includes consistency with the objectives of the 2017 state masterplan; acreage conserved/restored; synergy with other conservation/restoration efforts; constructability; and matching funds.
A selection committee made up of CPRA scientists and engineers will review and evaluate each proposed project based on the criteria. Projects selected for funding will be notified by November 18.
Proposals should be no more than two pages in length (i.e., one page description and one page map) and submitted by October 18 via email to firstname.lastname@example.org or email@example.com, or by mail to Kent Bollfrass or Kellyn LaCour-Conant at Louisiana Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority, 150 Terrace Ave., Baton Rouge, LA 70801.
