Jan de Nul, Boskalis to Dredge Argentinian Port of Bahía Blanca

A consortium made up of Jan de Nul and Boskalis was awarded a maintenance dredging contract for the local Port of Bahía Blanca, one of the country’s key ports. It handles large grain, oil and fertilizer exports. The project started in July. “The dredging works need to be performed with a 3 feet over depth, which will create a buffer in order to provide several months of draught certainty,” Jan de Nul said in a press release. “We have been working for the Port of Bahía Blanca for more than 10 years now, and this award strengthens our long relationship. We hope to be able to continue this for many years to come,” said Bob Michta, manager for Jan de Nul in Argentina.
