Dutch Dredging Adds Bed Leveller to its Fleet
The Dutch Dredging fleet now includes the 22.4-meter (73.5-foot) bed leveller Peter to its fleet. The vessel was delivered on June 14.
The vessel complies with IMO Tier 3 standard for the emission of harmful substances in shipping and with the Euro Stage 5 standard for emissions in inland shipping. Peter’s two 550 hp Scania main engines were fitted with after-treatment systems to clean exhaust gases. Peter also has a Green Passport from the International Maritime Organization.
The multifunctional bed leveller and tugboat is 7 meters (23 feet) wide and it has a draught of 2.8 meters (9.2 feet). The vessel was built by Hoekman Shipbuilding in Urk, and it has been fitted with a multibeam and single beam, so that the bed can be fully mapped out in three dimensions.
Peter is the fifth bed leveller in the Dutch Dredging fleet, which now has the Kees jr. working in Hamburg.
Dutch Dredging, based in Sliedrecht in the Netherlands offers dredging, surveying and related marine operations. The company uses the name ‘Baggerbedrijf de Boer’ in the Netherlands.
