Galveston District To Hold Industry Day for Small Business Contractors

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Galveston District will host an Industry Day for small business government contractors on June 20, from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the district’s headquarters building at 2000 Fort Point Road, Galveston, Texas. The purpose of the event is to present upcoming work for fiscal year 2019, help small businesses navigate through the contracting process, provide an opportunity for companies to network and meet potential vendors and subcontractors, as well as to maximize interest in the district’s contracting requirements.

The Galveston District has a diverse mission that encompasses primarily Civil Works projects; the bulk of projects are dredging or dredging-related requirements such as levee repair, hydrographic surveying, dredged materials placement area repair, and soils and water testing.
