LOUISIANA DEPARTMENT OF NATURUAL RESOURCES SELECTS COASTAL ENGINEERING CONSULTANTS FOR RESTORATION PROJECT

The Louisiana Department of Natural Resources has contracted with Coastal Engineering Consultants to serve as the prime consultant for the Caminada Headland Beach and Dune Restoration Project.

The project location is 47 miles west of the mouth of the Mississippi River and 50 miles south of New Orleans and abuts Louisianas largest oil and gas drilling services port Port Fourchon.

CEC will provide design permitting and construcation services including: geophysical and geotechnical surveys sand suitability assessment shoreline and volume change analysis wave and storm statistics sediment budget and transport modeling and sea level rise. The company will also develop design criteria engineer and design the restoration fill template borrow area and conveyance corridors and conduct a performance analysis.
