The International Association of Dredging Companies (IADC) will hold a forum on Early Contractor Involvement on November 14 and 15 in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia.
The theme is “Partnering Creates Possibilities” and the program will include experts and advisors responsible for construction projects who will help attendees explore the practical and legal possibilities of resources associated with early contractor involvement.
The Eastern Dredging Association (EADA) is IADC’s co-host for the event.
The keynote speaker is Dean T. Kashiwagi Ph.D. P.E. professor at Arizona State University’s School of Sustainable Engineering and the Built Environment (SSEBE) and director of Performance Based Studies Research Group (PBSRG) at the Del E. Webb School of Construction (DEWSC). Dr. Kashiwagi is an expert in optimizing the delivery of construction and other services using performance information. His structures and processes simultaneously minimize project risk management functions increase vendor profit increase performance and decrease costs. He is the creator of the best value Performance Information Procurement System (PIPS) and Performance Information Risk Management System (PIRMS). His research has expanded to Finland the Netherlands Africa and Malaysia.
Other speakers are Gerlando Butera international construction law specialist in marine engineering and dredging and reclamation projects; Paul Coughlan project director for the new parallel runway at Brisbane Airport; Grant Gaston acting general manager Major Projects North Queensland Bulk Ports (NQBP) Australia where he is responsible for planning and facilitating NQBP’s major projects; Wouter de Hamer coastal expert and project manager of several water management and land reclamation projects based in Jakarta; Sridhar Krishnan an engineer and associate director at BMT Asia Pacific who was involved in three recent largescale land reclamation projects in Malaysia; and Mark Oliver B.Sc. (Eng.) C.E. MICE managing director of DHI Water and Environment (M) Sdn Bhd Malaysia.
The fee is € 995 ($1320) per person which includes tuition proceedings and workshops. Accommodation at the Hotel Istana (the location for the ECI Forum) can be arranged.
