Weir’s exhibit at Agg1 included a display of valves for various applications including this manually-operated Isogate knife gate valve.

Weir Minerals markets its Isogate® slurry valves for use in abrasive applications including aggregate dredging and other mining applications.  The company’s Linatex® rubber liners increase the life of all of Weir’s products.  Bud Stein area sales manager told IDR that the raw rubber is shipped in blocks to be molded into the sleeves and liners at the factory with the natural rubber fibers intact.  Weir’s display at the AGG1 conference in March included demonstrated its knife gate valves for use in dredging all with easily replaceable Linatex liners.  The wafer style valves are available in manual pneumatic hydraulic electric motor and with bevel gears actuators.  Weir’s other valve styles are a wide body knife valve mechanical and pneumatic pinch valves check valves and Autoball ™ valves designed for quick changeover between duty and standby pumps in slurry applications.  Weir also lines its dredge pumps and dredge sleeves with Linatex.
