Snyder Industries Inc. introduced its GripTite™ technology at Agg1 in March. The gripping surfaces of the floats are multi-faceted to provide a non-slip surface against the pipe Mike Melymuk explained.  This feature keeps the floats from bunching up in wind or while being towed.

Snyder also offers a surface pipe float which carries the pipeline on top out of the water for easy inspection of the line.  Float balls with clevis pipe hangers are also available which hold the pipeline just under the surface.
