NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS

BID NO. 2001907. Jupiter/Carlin Shore Protection Florida

Sealed Bids will be received by the Board of County Commissioners Palm Beach County Florida up to and opened at 2:00 P.M. Tuesday October 9 2001 in the Engineering and Public Works Department at Hilton Airport Centre 160 Australian Avenue Suite 405 West Palm Beach Florida 33406 for furnishing all materials labor equipment and supplies necessary for JUPITER/CARLIN SHORE PROTECTION PROJECT #2001907 and DELRAY BEACH 4TH PERIODIC BEACH RENOURISHMENT PROJECT.

Plans and Specifications can be obtained from the County Engineer’s Office 160 Australian Avenue Suite 405 Hilton Airport Centre West Palm Beach Florida. A service charge of $30.00 per set of plans and specifications is required. The service charge is non-refundable. Any questions regarding this project can be directed to the Engineering Services Division at 561-684-4070.

All/any bids received from contractors who have not purchased plans and specifications from the County shall not qualify and bids will be returned “unopened”.

M/WBE participation is expected and encouraged.

The pre-cid Conference will be held on Thursday October 4 2001 at 9:00 a.m. in Conference Room A at the Department of Environmental Resources Management 3323 Belvedere Road Building 509 West Palm Beach Florida.

The contractor will perform with his own organization a minimum of 50 percent of the total contract amount less specialty work. Bids requested will be set forth in the proposal and the proposal form attached to and forming a part of the specifications. Plans and Specifications will not be issued unless request is received at least 24 hours prior to the opening of the bids.

The Board of County Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
