Sealed Bids will be received by the Board of County Commissioners Palm Beach County Florida up to and opened at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday July 31 2001 in the Engineering and Public Works Department at Hilton Airport Centre 160 Australian Avenue Suite 503 West Palm Beach Florida 33406 for furnishing all materials labor equipment and supplies necessary for the construction of:
SOUTH LAKE WORTH INLET
MAINTENANCE DREDGING AND ROCK REMOVAL
PROJECT # 2002053
Plans and Specifications may be obtained from the County Engineer’s Office 160 Australian Avenue Suite 405 Hilton Airport Centre West Palm Beach Florida. A service charge of $30.00 per set of plans and specifications is required. The service charge is non-refundable. All bids received from contractors who have not purchased plans and specifications from the county will not qualify and bids will be returned unopened.
M/WBE participation is expected and encouraged.
A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on Thursday July 12 2001 at 9:00 A.M. in conference Room “A” at the Department of Environmental Resources Management 3323 Belvedere Road Building 502 West Palm Beach Florida.
The contractor will perform with his own organization a minimum of 50 percent of the total contract amount less specialty work. Bids requested will be set forth in the proposal and the proposal form attached to and forming a part of the specifications.
Plans and specifications will not be issued unless request is received at least 24 hours prior to the opening of the bids. The Board of county Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
