Hemisphere Presents Crescent Vector II OEM Board
Hemisphere GPS has introduced the Crescent Vector II OEM board and a range of Crescent Vector II GPS compass products: V101 Series, VS101 Series, and LV101 OEM board.
The Crescent Vector II OEM board includes heave, pitch, and roll output, more accurate timing, lower phase noise, and an improved accelerometer. This design provides precise heading and positioning accuracy even while sitting still. The compact size, low-power consumption, and simple configuration of the Crescent Vector II OEM board make it a good product for system integrators.
These advancements have been designed into the production of all Crescent Vector II products including the following:
• V101 and V111 all-in-one GPS compass (superseding the V100/V110) - an affordable heading and positioning 50cm baseline smart antenna that combines the Crescent Vector II and two multipath-resistant antennas for precise guidance, portability, and simple installation.
• VS101 and VS111 GPS compass (superseding the VS100/VS110) - a receiver with user interface display and two separately-mounted antennas, utilizes the Crescent Vector II to deliver reliable accuracy at significantly less cost than competitors’ products or traditional methods and is ideal for professional machine control and navigation applications.
• LV101 OEM board (superseding and backwards compatible to the LV100) - integrates the Crescent Vector II, two GPS antennas, an NMEA 2000¨ communication processor, a single axis gyro, a tilt sensor, and a power supply onto a single board to allow for ease of integration into your system and provides precise heading and sub-meter position accuracy even while stationary.
The Crescent Vector II OEM board improves upon the original Crescent Vector by providing more robust GPS positioning to OEM integrators and off-the-shelf end users, said Phil Gabriel, vice president and general manager, Precision Products, for Hemisphere GPS. “With this release we are now able to provide these advancements across our entire Vector-based product line,” he said.
Changes to DGPS Receiver
On September 2, Hemisphere introduced their new R131 DGPS receiver – a rack-mountable addition to the R100™ Series of DGPS receivers. R131 allows for consistent sub-meter performance with standard SBAS differential and Hemisphere GPS’ exclusive COAST™ technology which maintains accuracy during temporary loss of differential signal.
“The R131 provides customers with a convenient, feature-packed rack-mountable DGPS solution,“ said Phil Gabriel, vice president and general manager, Precision Products, for Hemisphere GPS. “This adds even more value to our already successful R100 Series of DGPS receivers and has already resulted in a major order from India, with the R131 being the major component in a million dollar sale.”
The R131 offers many differential correction options such as SBAS, OmniSTAR¨, radio-beacon, and e-Dif¨ for various environments and worldwide coverage. It is also RTK upgradable.
The R131 will be useful for professional mapping, guidance, and navigation applications, and is available through the Hemisphere GPS Precision Products global dealer network.
