Orion Wins $25 Million Contract In Texas

Orion Marine Group’s wholly owned subsidiary Orion Construction LP was awarded a contract to design and build a new dock for a private customer in south Texas. The project will consist of the construction of a 1000 foot long steel and concrete bulkhead with a 700 foot long concrete pile-supported wharf in front of the bulkhead. Orion will install a fender system on the face of the wharf to allow for ship and barge traffic as well as dredging the area to accommodate dock traffic.

Construction of the dock is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2008.

MISENER CONTRACT IN FLORIDA

Orion Marine Group’s wholly owned subsidiary Misener Marine Construction Inc. has been awarded a $10.5 million contract from the City of Clearwater Florida for the construction of a 132-slip floating dock marina as part of the city’s Downtown Redevelopment Project.

The project will consist of the construction of 132 concrete floating boat slips to accommodate vessels ranging from 30 to 55 feet in length. A wave attenuator system will be constructed to protect the marina.

Construction of the marina is expected to begin in January 2009 with estimated completion in July 2009.
