Orion Wins $25 Million Contract In Texas

Orion Marine Group’s wholly owned subsidiary, Orion Construction, LP, was awarded a contract to design and build a new dock for a private customer in south Texas. Orion will install a fender system on the face of the wharf to allow for ship and barge traffic, as well as dredging the area to accommodate dock traffic.

“This award highlights the turn-key services we provide to our customers,” said Elliott Kennedy, Orion Marine Group’s executive vice president, Gulf Coast. “We are excited about this opportunity and will work hard to exceed expectations.”

Construction of the dock is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2008.
