WEDA Gulf Coast Chapter to Meet in New Orleans

The Gulf Coast Chapter of the Western Dredging Association is conducting its annual meeting with the Corps of Engineers and S.A.M.E. (Society of American Military Engineers), Louisiana Post, on November 15 and 16, 2007 at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in New Orleans. The meeting will provide a forum for the exchange of information of interest to the dredging industry and its associates.

Representatives from all areas of the industry, including regulatory, resource agencies, contracting, and manufacturing, will attend to discuss dredging economics, benefits, technologies and ongoing issues.

The meeting will open at 6:30 p.m., Thursday, November 15, with a reception at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel. This reception will give members and guests time to interface with new and old associates. Registration will open at 5:00 p.m. Thursday, and again at 8:00 a.m. Friday morning. On Friday morning at 8:30 a.m. the meeting will kick off with the 2008 dredging schedule presentations by MVD (Mississippi Valley Division) and Gulf Coast Districts. The luncheon speaker will be Ted Falgout, the Port Director for Port Fourchon, who will speak on the Port Fourchon Expansion Project. Following lunch, presentations will continue until 4:30 p.m.
