TULSA DREDGING SCOPE ESTIMATED

The Tulsa Port of Catoosa Port Authority estimated that it would take between $700000 and $1 million to dredge the port’s channel to remove about 200000 cubic yards of material and restore it to its desired depth of 12 feet. It made the estimate during a September 14 board meeting. Silt buildup has reduced the channel to between eight and 10 feet.

The port’s channel was last dredged in 2005 except for some spot dredging since. The port said finding a contractor could take several months.
