On May 21, Vosta LMG signed a contract with Inai Kiara Sdn Bhd for the delivery of an engineering and components package for two Model 750 cutter suction dredges (CSD). They will be built at Port Shipyard & Engineering (PSE) at Kampung Pendamar near Port Kelang in Malaysia. Both CSD’s will be equipped with the latest VOSTA LMG cutting and pumping technology, such as the T-system cutterhead, three VL750 dredge pumps and a wire system spud carrier installation.

The dredges will have dimensions of 80 meters long and 15 meters breadth, installed power of 9300 kW, dredging depth of 22 meters, 750 mm discharge, and 1000 kW cutter power.

On September 24th Vosta LMG and dredge operator Inai Kiara SDN BHD entered into another agreement to build more dredges.

Vosta LMG will supply engineering and/ or components packages for the following vessels, with a delivery period from 2010-2013:

• two 7,200 cubic meter trailing suction hopper dredges (TSHD);

• one 15,000 cubic meter TSHD;

• one 32,000 cubic meter TSHD;

• two Model 750S cutter suction dredges (CSD), with a total installation power of 11,000 kW.

Inai Kiara and Vosta LMG further agree that Inai Kiara will have the option for a total of four additional vessels with the following specifications:

• one 32,000 cubic meter TSHD;

• one 15,000 cubic meter TSHD;

• one self propelled CSD with approximately 4,000 kW cutting force;

• one 750S CSD with a total installation power of 11,000 kW.

Vosta also has an order for the turnkey delivery of a second new cutter suction dredge for the Arab Potash Company in Jordan. As with the previous dredge, this one is specially designed to excavate hard salt deposits in extremely corrosive and harsh climatic conditions. Ambient site temperatures exceeding 40 degrees Celsius are common.

The dredge will be handed over to Arab Potash at the end of 2009. Vosta LMG will deliver the complete dredge, including floating pipeline, turnkey on-site in Jordan. Vosta LMG will train the crew on site.

The dredge will be equipped with a Vosta SC25 cutting system, and will be built in Malaysia. Specifications are: length: 75 meters; breadth: 12 meters; dredging depth: six meters; installed power: 3034 kW.

The Arab Potash site is located 110 kilometers South of Amman and 200 kilometers north of Aqaba. The site comprises an extensive solar evaporation pond system of 131 square kilometers.
