HYPACK 2008 Will be Introduced At Savannah Conference
A new feature of the software is the Snippets logging tool.
The new version will feature floating tool bars, multiple views for a project and flexible and customized window arrangement in Survey.
Other new features are the Point Cloud editing tool, Sub-Bottom Profiling, new 3DTV with waves and sky.
Hysweep will include the new Odom ES3 multi-beam system and Riegl laser scanning interfaces, as well as new logging and displaying features called Snippets and Total Propagated Error (TPE). Other additions are multi-beam editing and filtering tools and a CUBE with Enhanced OpenGL graphics.
The GEOCODER mosaicing program developed by the Center for Coastal and Ocean Mapping of the University of New Hampshire (CCPM-UNH) will be a standard feature in Hypack 2008.
Dr. Brian Calder and Dr. Luciano Fonseca, both professors at UNH-CCOM, will speak at the conference. Dr. Calder will assist in an expert session focusing on Hypack’s integration of his CUBE algorithm used to clean multibeam data, and Dr. Fonseca will explain some of the features of the Geocoder program, both on Monday afternoon, January 7.
This year for the first time, one-on-one sessions are offered. Attendees can sign up for a 30 minute private session with a HYPACK developer or support engineer. Most of the HYPACK programming and support crew will be present and available for these sessions.
