DTCGG1-01-R-3WK016. Bid opening CHANGED TO Dec. 29, 2000, 2 p.m. MAINTENANCE DREDGING OF ENTRANCE CHANNEL AT USCG STATION EATONS NECK, NORTHPORT, NEW YORK. This notice is hereby amended to add the following: The solicitation will be issued for the base year and four one-year options. Evaluation of price will be on all five years total. Evaluation of all years will not oblige the government to exercise the option periods. Liquidated damages are incorporated. The revised issue date of the solicitation is November 29, 2000. Offerors are cautioned to ensure that the initial proposal contain the offeror's best terms from a technical and cost or price standpoint as the government intends to evaluate proposals and award a contract without discussions with offerors. DACW17-00-B-0025. Postponed. MAINTENANCE DREDGING, 12-FOOT PROJECT, INTRACOASTAL WATERWAY, JACKSONVILLE TO MIAMI, FLORIDA, VICINITY OF HAULOVER CANAL, BREVARD COUNTY, FLORIDA. Remove shoals along the Intracoastal Waterway (IWW) in the vicinity of Haulover Canal. A depth of 12 feet MLW will be required with an allowable overdepth of two feet. The base bid will require maintenance dredging of Cut BV-1 Station 0+00 to Cut BV-7 Station 0+00 and will total approximately 1.4 million cubic yards of material to be removed. Option Bid Item A (if awarded) will require maintenance dredging of Cut BV-7 Station 0+00 to Cut BV-9 Station 43+00 and will total approximately 0.4 million cubic yards of material to be removed. DACW17-00-B-0033. Bid opening date Jan. 30, 2001; issue date Dec. 15, 2000. Beach Nourishment, St. Johns County Shore Protection Issue date, Oct. 1, 2000. The St. Johns County Shore Protection Project will nourish approximately 3.5 miles of coastline with approximately 3,700,000 cy of sand. The borrow area is located along and adjacent to the St. Augustine Harbor entrance channel approximately 4.7 miles north of the beach fill area. A portion of the borrow area coincides with the St. Augustine Harbor Entrance Channel. Debris removal, revetment shaping, vibration control monitoring and sea oat planting are also required. Dredging is both landward and seaward of the COLREGS Demarcation Line. The beach disposal area is seaward of the COLREGS Demarcation Line. Cost estimate, more than $10 million. Unrestricted. DACW17-00-B-0040. Bid opening CHANGED TO Dec. 20, 2000. BEACH RENOURISHMENT, HUTCHINSON ISLAND, SHORE PROTECFTION PROJECT. Placement of approximately 1.3 million cubic yards on 4.25 miles of beach beginning at the Martin County Line. The project will contain a Base Bid and two optional bid items. The Base Bid work is located along the northernmost 3.75 miles of beach. Optional Bid Item A work is approximately 0.25 miles long south of the Base Bid, and Optional Bid item B work is an additional 1,200 feet south of Optional Bid Item A. The beach is to be constructed to have a berm width of 90 feet at Elevation 9.1 and protective dune vegetation elevation 13.6. The foreshore slope will be constructed on 1 vertical to 10 horizontal slope. The borrow area is located approximately 1.25 miles east-southeast of the project area. Remove 2x6 timber fenders along travel lift piers and replace with new 4x6 timber fenders (224 LF Total as shown on drawings.) Splice/weld 18-inch extensions on eight 10-inch-diameter steel pipe piles as shown on drawings. Replace 18 existing cleats and two missing cleats with 20 new, 18-inch steel cleats on two concrete floating piers. Upgrade 2 60-A shore tie receptacles with two 100-A shore tie receptacles and provide and install new shore tie plugs at location shown on drawings. Take before and after soundings to determine quantity of material dredged. Provide price for overdredged material from project area. Total payable quantity of overdredged material allowed is 1500cy. The dredging will consist of excavating small quantities of material (300 1200 cubic yards) from up to eight locations for the purpose of providing recreational boat access. Two of the sites will require the use of mechanical dredging equipment, while the remaining six sites could be dredged using mechanical or small hydraulic dredging equipment. Placement sites have been identified. The requirement will include a basic item purchase of the dredging of two of the sites. The remaining six sites will be option items.
