Jan De Nul Evaluates Fuel-Saving Emissions-Reduction Technology

EnerGreen Technologies Ltd. a European distributor for EnerTeck (OTC: ETCK) and EnerTeck Chemical announced in mid-February that the Jan de Nul Group had launched an evaluation of the company’s EnerBurn® a diesel fuel catalytic combustion accelerator and its complementary injection technology.

Jan de Nul will administer tests on its suction dredge Taccola which is deployed on a project in Bremerhaven Germany. The three-month evaluation will measure fuel consumption savings and emissions reduction performance in accordance with new MARPOL international environmental standards scheduled to go into effect next year. Jan de Nul operates a fleet of more than 70 dredges that burn large amounts of marine diesel said Sean Routledge CEO of EnerGreen Technologies Pty Ltd. an Australian-based distributor of EnerBurn with operations in Europe and South America. With this test EnerGreen is expecting to achieve a five to 10 percent reduction in fuel consumption resulting in dramatic cost savings and emission reductions for Jan de Nul which in turn will open up demand for the EnerBurn technology in markets around the world. The EnerGreen Technologies Europe team led by Luc Hennion has been working with Jan de Nul over the past six months to fit out the Taccola to carry out a quality evaluation and the initial treatment with EnerBurn was started early this month.

“With the continual increase in fuel costs and more rigorous environmental requirements the world’s largest diesel users must find ways to reduce their fuel consumption and emissions” said Dwaine Reese EnerTeck CEO. “A successful evaluation of the EnerBurn technology by Jan de Nul will be an important milestone for EnerTeck as well as for our prospective and existing customers who are evaluating our technology for use in other industries such as rail trucking mining military public transportation and government.”
