Letter to the Editor from John Hall
I get a kick out of your dredging folks and what they do. The vessels are so un-flashy but do work of such great importance. People will eat food tonight in Turkey, Japan and other points on the globe because the mouth of the Mississippi is dredged. And tire-manufacturing plants from Oklahoma to South Carolina will get natural rubber for the same reason. Then there is coffee!
