Wayne Boyd is New King Fisher President
Wayne A. Boyd was named president of King Fisher Marine Service, Inc. effective January 15, 2001.
He succeeds his father Waymon Boyd as president.
Joining the company in 1976, he was promoted to foreman in 1983, to assistant vice president in 1985 and to vice president in 1996. In July 2000, he was named executive vice president and given the responsibility of all day-to-day operations at King Fisher Marine Service, Inc.
“Wayne is fully committed to the future of the company, its employees and its reputation of excellence and performance gained over the past half century. He represents third generation leadership at the company and the legacy at King Fisher Marine will be enhanced by his integrity and knowledge,” said Russell Inserra, chairman of the company.
Wayne’s mother is Ann Boyd, daughter of King and Jewel Fisher. King Fisher, company founder, was fêted on January 14, his 85th birthday, at a party attended by many dredging colleagues.
