Pacific Chapter Abstracts Due on July 20

Abstracts for technical presentations the WEDA Pacific Chapter annual meeting are due on July 20.

The meeting will be held in Long Beach California, Wednesday through Friday, October 26 through 28.

The venue is the Renaissance Long Beach Hotel at 111 East Ocean Boulevard. Phone number for reservations is 562-437-5900.

The agenda will include the Corps of Engineers presentation of their 2006 federal dredging program on Wednesday afternoon, followed by an ice breaker that evening.

On Thursday morning, technical papers will be presented, followed by a luncheon with keynote speaker and an afternoon boat tour of the ports of Long Beach and Los Angeles, where significant development projects are in progress. Friday morning will consist of more technical presentations and a chapter business meeting, with adjournment at noon.

Group rate for the hotel is $138 per night, with a $110 per night government rate. Government employees should book their rooms, and then contact John Lally to be added to the government rate list.
