Pacific Chapter Heads to Oakland

The WEDA Pacific Chapter meeting in November will include a boat tour of the Port of Oakland facilities and projects, in addition to two days of talks on port expansion and ship channel deepening projects, new dredging technologies and Superfund cleanup activities.

To be held Wednesday through Friday, November 6 through 8, the meeting will take place at the Oakland Marriott City Center, Oakland, California.

The conference will begin on Wednesday afternoon with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers 2003 federal dredging program, followed by an ice breaker that evening at the top of the Marriott.

Papers will be given on Thursday and Friday mornings, with the tour of Oakland Harbor on Thursday afternoon. The meeting will adjourn by noon on Friday following handling of chapter business.
