HYPACK 2018 Hosts User Training Events

HYPACK 2018 held its 25th User Training Event in January in Savannah, Georgia. This year’s event attracted more than 300 attendees, representing more than 20 countries. The three-day training included classes on single and multibeam data acquisition and processing, LiDAR, side scan and magnetometer data collection and processing; and various dredging topics. Both classroom and individualized training and support were offered. The event also included an exhibit hall featuring thirty companies that shared the newest enhancements in hydrographic technology.

New this year was the HYPACK Seminar NEXUS 800 demonstration, which showcased the fully integrated HYPACK UAV. It allows users to plan missions, acquire data and process information in minutes using real-time image and point cloud viewing.

Following the success of its training event, HYPACK 2018 training events will be held in various locations throughout the world. The three-day training event model that was used in Georgia will be replicated, and also available will be multibeam and volumes courses for expert users wanting more in-depth practical training. All events offer attendees an opportunity to learn about HYPACK 2018 software.

While a list of training locations has already been released, the HYPACK team is taking requests for additional locations. Training will be held in the following countries: Costa Rica, June 13 to 15; United Kingdom, February 6 to 8; Russia February 26 to 28; Singapore April 4 to 6; Argentina April 11 to 13; Australia May 1 to 3; India August 2018; Sri Lanka August 2018; South Africa September 3 to 5; Peru September 19 to 21; Ukraine October 2018; Poland October 2018; and China October 2018 TBD.
