MANSON BEGINS WORK ON MILE POINT ALONG ST. JOHNS RIVER
Starting in January, Manson Construction Co. began work on the Mile Point Training Reconfiguration Project. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers awarded the $39,520,500 contract in April 2015 for dredging and construction work along the St. Johns River at Mile Point.
This project will correct a navigation issue where the river and Intracoastal Waterway (IWW) meet, in anticipation of the larger port deepening project, which will complete the design and engineering phase in November.
For more about the Mile Point and Port of Jacksonville deepening project, see the September/ October 2015 issue.
Manson will continue work on the project through November 2016.Edit Module
