CHIDA Plans Shanghai Conference in May
The congress will be held at the Shanghai International Convention Center, and the official hotel is the Orient Riverside hotel, near the center.
"The role played by dredging in the society, economy and environment is becoming greater and greater, and its effect on sustainable development for human beings is more prominent” write the organizers.
The paper committee had received 50 papers by the end of July 2002.
Three technical visits are planned for May 23: the site of regulation works for the deepwater channel in the Yangtze estuary, the Scientific Research Center of Estuarine Shore, and the large-capacity trailing suction dredge Zin Hai Long.
