DTCGG1-01-R-3WK016. Bid opening CHANGED TO Jan. 19, 2001, 2 p.m. MAINTENANCE DREDGING OF ENTRANCE CHANNEL AT USCG STATION EATONS NECK, NORTHPORT, NEW YORK. This notice is hereby amended to add the following: The solicitation will be issued for the base year and four one-year options. Evaluation of price will be on all five years total. Evaluation of all years will not oblige the government to exercise the option periods. Liquidated damages are incorporated. The revised issue date of the solicitation is November 29, 2000. Offerors are cautioned to ensure that the initial proposal contain the offeror's best terms from a technical and cost or price standpoint as the government intends to evaluate proposals and award a contract without discussions with offerors. DACW51-01-B-0008. Bid opening Feb. 27, 2001. KILL VAN KULL & NEWARK BAY CHANNELS NAVIGATION IMPROVEMENT PROJECT. The Kill Van Kull II, Area 3, Contract 6 project is a channel deepening project. Specifically, the project consists of deepening the existing 40 feet below MLW Federal Navigation Channel System to a depth of 47 feet below MLW. The project area consists of two (northern and southern) channels. The northern channel is approximately 400 feet wide and 12,600 feet long and the southern channel is 400 feet wide and 10,200 feet long. The west end of the project limit begins at approximately 4,000 feet east of the Bayonne Bridge. The majority of the work consists of dredging and disposal of non-rock materials. All non-rock materials dredged from the site will be disposed at the HARS. The work involves the use of marine plant such as a clamshell dredge with 18 CY rock bucket, an excavator dredge with a 12 CY bucket, drilling and sampling equipment, and barges and tug boats. Cost estimate, $25 million to $100 million. Unrestricted. The NAICS code for the project is 234930 with a dollar value of $17 million. Remove shoals along the Intracoastal Waterway (IWW) in the vicinity of Haulover Canal. A depth of 12 feet MLW will be required with an allowable overdepth of two feet. The base bid will require maintenance dredging of Cut BV-1 Station 0+00 to Cut BV-7 Station 0+00 and will total approximately 1.4 million cubic yards of material to be removed. DACW17-00-B-0033. Bid opening date Jan. 30, 2001; issue date Dec. 15, 2000. Beach Nourishment, St. Johns County Shore Protection Issue date, Oct. 1, 2000. The St. Johns County Shore Protection Project will nourish approximately 3.5 miles of coastline with approximately 3,700,000 cy of sand. The borrow area is located along and adjacent to the St. Augustine Harbor entrance channel approximately 4.7 miles north of the beach fill area. A portion of the borrow area coincides with the St. Augustine Harbor Entrance Channel. Debris removal, revetment shaping, vibration control monitoring and sea oat planting are also required. Dredging is both landward and seaward of the COLREGS Demarcation Line. The beach disposal area is seaward of the COLREGS Demarcation Line. Cost estimate, more than $10 million. Unrestricted. MARYLAND



The subcontracting goals for the Baltimore District, Corps of Engineers, are are 60 percent for small business, 15 percent for small disadvantaged business, eight percent for women-owned small business and two percent for Hubzone small businesses. It is imperative that all small disadvantaged businesses contact their cognizant Small Business Administration Office to obtain Small Disadvantaged Business Certification. About 35,000 cubic yards of fine sand will be removed and transported about 18,000 feet to Eastern Neck Wildlife Refuge and placed behind segmented breakwaters. The breakwaters will be plugged with small (8 to 10 foot) geo-textile tubes to help contain the material. A wetland will then be planted after deposition. 100 percent small business setaside. A market survey is being conducted to determine if there are qualified firms interested in a proposed cost-reimbursement type contract for the construction of the Olmsted Dam on the Ohio River near Olmsted, Illinois at river mile 964.4.
