Coastline Surveys Completes High Resolution Multi-Beam Surveys

Coastline Surveys Ltd. (CSL) completed three high-resolution multi-beam hydrographic surveys in the South North Sea, using the latest generation R2SONIC 2024 combined with an IxBlue Octans MKIII Gyro/ MRU and C-Nav 3050 RTK GPS positioning. The CSL survey vessel MV FlatHolm completed the three surveys in a short window, as weather permitted, with minimal downtime, the company said.

Teledyne Acquires RESON

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated (NYSE:TDY) announced on March 1 that it had completed the acquisition of RESON A/S. Reson, headquartered in Slangerup, Denmark, provides high resolution marine acoustic imaging and measurement solutions. The acquired company will operate under the name Teledyne RESON. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Geodynamics Adds 30-foot Survey Boat to Fleet

Geodynamics, LLC, based out of Morehead City / Beaufort, North Carolina, took delivery of a 30-foot Armstrong catamaran in the 3rd quarter of 2012. The boat, the R/V Benthos, was custom designed for hydrographic survey operations and configured to be rapidly trailered, which reduces cost to clients, according to Chris Freeman, company president.

St. Paul District Orders Boat and Sweep System from Ross Labs

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers St. Paul District has awarded a contract to Ross Laboratories, Inc. of Seattle, Washington to provide a turn-key multi-channel sweep system installed on a 24-foot Armstrong Marine aluminum work boat.
