MIC Performs Maintenance Dredging at Port Orford, Oregon

In 2014, Marine Industrial Construction, LLC (MIC) of Wilsonville, Oregon, performed maintenance dredging at Port Orford in Oregon. This spring, the project dredged approximately 7,000 cubic yards in a short time period and involved critical coordination between many parties to ensure as much of the small port could be used as possible during dredging.

Van Oord Returns to Surabaya, Indonesia Port Access Channel

Indonesian port company PT Pelabuhan Indonesia III (Persero) has contracted Van Oord for dredging and maintenance work in the western access channel to the port of Surabaya in Indonesia. The contract is worth more EUR 50 million ($695 million). The project started in May and will last 10 months, followed by a twoyear maintenance period.

Van Oord was award a EUR 20 million ($27.2 million) contract for building land at the port in Surabaya, Indonesia. The public-private project partnership includes the port authority, and the new land will house an industrial estate.
