Dragflow of Italy delivered a hydraulic dredge pump with a frontal cutterhead to the Persian Gulf where it will be used for dredge work to construct a fishery port near Jask Iran.

The project had been relying on a long boom excavator on a barge but that proved to be too slow for the work so the contractor switched to Dragflow’s HY85/160HC hydraulic dredge with a DTM85 cutterhead on a CAT345 boom.

By switching to Dragflow equipment daily production went up to about 280 cubic meters (366 cubic yards) of dry material (pumping 10 to 11 hours/day) discharged at 1 kilometer distance from the barge. In four months 25000 cubic meters (32698 cubic yards) of dry sand was dredged and pumped.
