A SCANNER TRAINING COURSE IS BEING HELD BY SWATHE SERVICES

A practical based multibeam sonar and mobile laser scanner training course is being held in Cornwall United Kingdom from May 15 to 19.

Organized by Swathe Services in partnership with HYPACK R2SONIC SBG and Renishaw the course is designed to give attendees the skills to install interface and calibrate equipment as well as to provide information on best practices and QA/QC aspects.

Participants will gain “hands on” experience with R2Sonic 2022 MBES SBG Systems APOGEE-U Renishaw Merlin Mobile Laser Scanner Valeport MiniSVS and SwiFT SVP and HYPACK and HYSWEEP data acquisition and processing software.

Training will take place at the Swathe Services offices in Truro and also aboard the MV Tiger Lily in Falmouth. The instructors include Joe Burnett from HYPACK and James Williams from Swathe Services who together have more than forty years of experience working with multibeam sonars and related survey equipment.
